Dr. Lauren T. Goldstein
Dr. Lauren Goldstein is a graduate of the prestigious Payne Whitney Psychiatric Residency of New York Presbyterian Hospital (formerly The New York Hospital). She first completed an internal medicine internship at Winthrop University Hospital, before beginning her psychiatric residency. She is a graduate of a challenging six-year BA/MD medical program. Her outstanding academic accomplishments qualified her for acceptance to both Phi Beta Kappa at Lehigh University as well as the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn (formerly Downstate Medical Center). Membership to AOA is offered by a medical school only to its top academic achievers who are also demonstrated leaders and students of the highest ethical standards.
Dr. Goldstein completed two years at Payne Whitney's Human Sexuality Training Program. She continued on to the voluntary faculty of New York Presbyterian Hospital, teaching residents and participating in workshops in the Human Sexuality Program for many years until deciding to dedicate herself full-time to her private practice.
Dr. Goldstein has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. She currently focuses her psychiatric practice on the evaluation and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorder, eating disorders, women's issues, and sexual disorders. She provides psychopharmacologic management as well as individual and couples therapy. Sexual disorders are thoroughly evaluated and often treated with a combination of behavioral techniques, couples therapy, and pharmacology as indicated.
She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and holds active licenses in New Jersey, New York and Florida. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, The Medical Society of New Jersey and The American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology.
